Our Beliefs
We believe the Bible is God’s inerrant, infallible Word to all people at all times. It was written by human authors under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. As such, it is a completely reliable revelation of God and our authoritative guide in all matters of faith, conduct and community.
(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21.)
We believe the eternal God has revealed Himself both as one and triune, existing in three distinct persons – the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit — distinct in personality, yet inseparable in essence and unity.
(Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:38.)
We believe God the Father is the creator and sustainer of all things, and He created the universe in love. He created man in His own image for fellowship and called man back to Himself through Christ after the rebellion and fall of man.
(Genesis 1:1, 26, 3:15.)
We believe Jesus Christ, being eternally God the Son, took on human form according to the will of God the Father. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, being both fully God and fully man, the exact representation of the Father.
(Isaiah 7:14, 9:6; Luke 1:26-35; John 1:1,14, 18; Philippians 2:5-6; 1 Timothy 2:5.)
We believe the Holy Spirit is the Helper Jesus promised to send. He initiates the salvation of individuals by convicting them of sin and regenerating them, enabling the believers’ responses of repentance and faith. The Holy Spirit indwells all believers and is a seal upon them, marking them as the property of God. He unites individual believers with the Church, imparting gifts and cultivating the fruit of the Spirit. The Spirit guides the believers, teaches them and comforts them. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit: it is for all believers as the definite endowment for life and service subsequent to conversion.
(John 14:16-27, 16:7-15; Acts 2:38-39; Romans 5:2-5; 1 Corinthians 12, 14; Ephesians 1:13-14; Hebrews 3:7-8, 4:12; 2 Peter 1:11-12.)
We believe that God designed all people for fellowship with Him and He desires all people to come into a personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. The Word of God declares clearly that salvation is a free gift of God, based on the merits of the death of His Son, and is appropriated by faith. Salvation is affected by personal repentance of sin, belief in the Lord Jesus (justification) and personal acceptance of Him into one’s life as Lord and Savior (regeneration). The new life in Christ includes the privileges of adoption and inheritance in the kingdom of God’s beloved Son.
(Romans 3:23, 6:23, 5:8, 10:9-10, 13; Ephesians 2:8-10)
We believe that the church consists of all those who truly believes in Jesus Christ and His atoning death and who trust in Him as their Lord and Savior and follow Him daily. The New Testament standard is the indigenous local church: self-supporting, self-governing, and self-propagating, with the task to share the Good News of Christ and the edification of believers in the Body. God has given the five fold ministry gifts to lead his church. We believe that the local church is the vehicle of God working in the earth to extend and establish His Kingdom.
(Matthew 16:17-19, 28:19-20; Ephesians 4:11-13.)
We believe in the bodily, personal, second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the saints, the millennium and the final judgment. The final judgment will determine the eternal status of both the saints and the unbelievers, determined by their relationship to Jesus Christ. We affirm with the Bible the final state of the new heavens and the new earth.
(Matthew 24:26-31, 25:31-46; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:20-28, 35-58; 2 Peter 3:7-13; Revelation 20:11-21:27.)
